David Henry Buchholz, 70, of Cleveland Hts, passed away July 15, 2015. He was born in Oxnard, CA, to the late Henry and Elizabeth Buchholz. He was a proud and loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by many. A proud Veteran of the Naval Submarine Service. David retired from the U.S. Postal Service and became the head ship keeper of the USS Cod Memorial Submarine. He was a lifetime member of the USSVI, D.A.V. and NRA. He spent six years volunteering with the Hospice of the Western Reserve and was a longtime friend of Bill and Bob. David is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Virginia, his children Henry (Amanda), David (Amanda) and Stephen, his grandson Logan, his brother Dennis (Melody) and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11am at St. John Nottingham Lutheran Church, 17403 Nottingham Rd., Cleveland. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 2 to 6pm at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of David can be made to the Hospice of Western Reserve, USS Cod Foundation, and St. John Nottingham Church. |
